My trip to Georgia was fun and mostly stress-free, I do feel renewed and relaxed. At least compared to the chaos I felt before the trip. It was nice to leave behind my messy house, my business, and the ever-flowing mail. Even the flights went alright. As in, they could have been worse. And that might just be as good as it gets, and I am ok with that.
One of the highlights was having a playdate-picnic with some highschool friends and their kids and spouses. I've never seen them as parents before, and it was really cool to see our kids play together. I just marvel at how, even though we all have kids and responsibilities and different lives now, everyone is still the same person we remember.
My kids have returned a bit wilder than they left, I think they got to used to charming the grandparents and aunts and getting away with stuff they know is "not ok." They are testing me All. Day. Long. to see what they can get away with now.
Good thing I am well-rested.
