Yesterday was my son's birthday, and it was a good day. But us it was also a bad, bad food day. Not only did I agree to bring a Krispy Kreme Donut Cake to Jimmy's class for snack time, and not only did we bring an extra 16 donuts home, which we've been nibling on ever since with no end in sight . . .
But also . . . I also ate an entire box of Mallomars.
I am not a binge eater exactly, it took me all day to eat them. I've never had one before, but I have seen them eaten on shows like Seinfeld, Mad About You, and Gilmore Girls. I saw them, had to try them . . . and I think I can never buy them again.
And I can't blame the girlscouts this time. I bought the cookies at Walmart. Wait, Walmart is big and evil and hated by all these days, right? I'll blame Walmart. Putting small businesses out of business, increasing the trade deficit, and . . . supplying someone like me with Mallomars.
